School PAC

What is PAC?

A Parent Advisory Council (PAC) advises the school on how to improve education for all students. They are made up of parents and guardians who are members of the school community.
PACs are autonomous bodies, which means they are self-governing. All parents and guardians of children in our school are members and entitled to vote at general meetings.

Parent Advisory Council Purposes:

  • Communicate: improve communication between parents, staff, students, and the community.

  • Involve parents: encourage parent involvement in the school and support programs that promote it.

  • Advocate: advocate for students and their families.

  • Provide input: give input into school-based decisions and participate in goal setting.

  • Monitor: monitor and review school rules, safety programs, and educational programs.

  • Educate: educate parents and promote equal educational opportunities.

  • Organize events: organize activities and events that provide additional resources and funds.

The Impact of Your PAC

In the years passed, our PAC has made a huge impact on the school with some major fundraising campaigns for our new school. Our PAC worked together to provide the funds for:

  • all the projectors in the school, including the gym.

  • the rubber surfacing and hillside slide for the new playground

  • sports equipment for children to play with during recess and lunch

Events the PAC has put on for the school to build community and encourage friendship with our students and parents:

  • the annual pancake breakfast

  • Halloween dances

  • movie nights and more!
